Oh yay, I love talking about myself (haha) so here we go:

1. So if you didn’t know, I like pie. (Ha ha ha…) Just about any type of pie, really. A few of my favorites are blueberry, apple, key lime, and pumpkin. However- if you put down a plate of pie and a plate of cheesecake, I’d probably pick the cheesecake 9 times out of 10. :P

2. While I don’t own any makeup of any sort (lipstick/eyeshadow/mascara/whatever how even does that stuff work?? I never learned these things haha), I easily own somewhere around 50 different bottles of nail polish, over a quarter of which are all different shades of blue. Because blue is the best color. Yes.

3. Makeup may not be my thing, but I do love perfume! I spent way too many years addicted to BPAL and even though I haven’t bought any new scents in at least 3 years, my collection is still terrifyingly huge. Despite the size of that collection, my most prized perfume is the limited edition bottle of the Khan cologne from SDCC 2009 that I managed to get my hands on back then. I save it for occasions when I need a little extra help feeling fierce. :3

4. I first discovered fanfiction (& slash and fandom, incidentally) at the tender age of 11. It has been a staple in my daily life ever since then and honestly, at this point I can barely remember a time when I wasn’t reading a fic of some sort or partying hard in a fandom (although these days I’m a lot more low-key and tend to enjoy fandom more from the fringes.)

5. The fandom I was active in the longest was Supernatural! I say “was”, because we’re on-again-off-again now. (I haven’t even finished season 8, oops.) But from 2005~2009 it was my -only- fandom, and I was crazy about it. I actually watched the episodes as they aired (*gasp* shocking, I know haha), made graphics/icons, participated in fandom discussions/meta debates, read fic and ~interacted~ with other fans (haha). I started falling out of love with fandom around season 5, and that unfortunately put me off of the show too (it didn’t help that I had already felt the show had been in a decline for a while, and wow season 6 was complete shit.) I thought season 7 was awesome, but by that point I had moved on from that fandom and didn’t have a desire to go back, so I just catch up on episodes every now and then when I get around to it. (Like every other show that I watch. It’s very rare that I see a show as it’s airing.)

6 .I love arts & crafts everything. If it’s possible to take a workshop for it or try it out of a do-it-yourself guide, I’ve probably done it (or am planning to do it). Knitting, crocheting (including amigurumi), quilting/sewing, painting, drawing, pottery/ceramics, jewelry making (beading, wire bending etc), book binding, baking, card making, fused glass jewelry, soap making, aaand that’s what I can think of off the top of my head that I’ve done in the past few years. However, I am incapable of sticking with anything for more than a few weeks (or a few sessions) so no matter how much I’d love to become really good at any of these, I don’t have the patience to stick with anything (so for a lot of these I can really only say ‘oh yeah, I did that once’ and can talk about how it’s done, but little more.) Next on my list is glass blowing, which I might get an opportunity to try this fall!

7. I am afraid of cats?? This is terrible because my best friend just got a cat!!! They’re usually super cute in pictures but cats irl just freak me out because I always think they’re going to scratch me or bite me. I’m more of a dog person.

8. Okay so I joke that I’m afraid of cats and they do make me a bit uncomfortable but I can deal with being around them. I am absolutely terrified of spiders. Just typing the word makes me feel jumpy ugh. I can’t be in the same room as them, I can’t listen to people talking about them, I can’t even look at a picture of one without freaking out. If I see the word printed and I’m not expecting it I’ll feel a small jolt of panic sometimes. And since I’m terrified of being near them I can’t kill them on my own without assistance, which is extra scary. It’s a seriously debilitating phobia. If I see one, I will literally be freaking out about it for at least the rest of the day if not longer, and every time I’m in the place where I saw it for the next few weeks I’ll see it there in my head and just feel all panic-y and scared. (Just typing this has made my heart rate go up.) I can (unfortunately) list off every place I’ve seen one in my house in the past month, and I still act hyper-vigilant when I’m in those places even though I logically know there’s no need. Whenever I enter small rooms anywhere (like bathrooms) the first thing I automatically do is scan the floor/walls/ceiling for spiders, just in case. Oh yeah, and if I see an untagged picture of one posted on my dash? Instant unfollow, no questions asked and no take backs. If we’re mutually following each other I’ll ask for you to tag it for the future, but if it happens again, we’re done. (Thank goodness for Tumblr Savior is all I’m saying.)

9. I’m not much of a sports person in general, but I did play soccer for almost 10 years when I was growing up. Mostly just rec in the fall, but for a while I also did indoor in the winter and travel during spring/summer. I also played softball for 2 years. I don’t watch any sports regularly, but hockey is a lot of fun to see live.

10. I’ve seen Switchfoot in concert three times! That’s the most I’ve ever seen one band live. If you like their music, wow they are fantastic live. Jon Foreman has an incredibly charismatic stage presence. One of those times was at a music festival where I had the great pleasure of being squashed right up at the front of the stage because yes, I am that person- if it’s a multi-stage open air music festival with a band I like playing at some point, you can be damn sure I’ll be camped out at least 3 hours in advance up front to get the best possible spot. At a different music festival 2 years ago thanks to that tenacity I got to be front and center for Lou Gramm performing Jukebox Hero and that was epic. It would be a lot of fun to see Skillet again, they are also super awesome live. :)
